Role Summary
We are looking for a Product Owner with a strong data background and deep understanding of AWS-based data platforms. This role owns the product vision, roadmap, and delivery for data-driven platforms and works closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders. This is not a hands-on coding role and not a pure business PO. The ideal candidate understands data, cloud architecture, and AWS services well enough to drive the right product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product roadmap for data platforms built on AWS
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and priorities
- Work closely with data engineers, cloud engineers, and architects on AWS-based solutions
- Make product decisions informed by data analysis, metrics, and business outcomes
- Define success metrics and KPIs for data products and platforms
- Act as the primary interface between business, product, and engineering teams
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning
- Ensure alignment between business goals and scalable, cloud-native data solutions
- Manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner in technical environments
- Strong background in data analysis or data platforms
- Solid understanding of AWS services, especially in data contexts:
- S3, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda
- Experience working with data engineers, analytics teams, and cloud engineers
- Ability to interpret SQL queries, dashboards, and data models (hands-on analysis a plus)
- Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria for technical teams
- Experience owning data or platform products, not just UI features
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
