A Brief Overview
Leads team and independently designs, develops, tests, implements, documents, and supports data warehouses, databases, and scheduling technologies and processes. Possesses an effective understanding of the respective data warehouse source and target systems, and leverages knowledge of business intelligence and big data technologies and methods to execute responsibilities.
What you will do
- Leads small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements, and develops detailed work plans
- Works closely with business and IT stakeholders to optimise information by defining business requirements and populating the data warehouse table structure
- Designs, develops, and maintains relational databases for data storage and data mining
- Performs data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation
- Creates and supports the process to extract the data from source systems and place it into the data warehouse
- May supervise or manage four or fewer employees, and is responsible for the team's performance; coaches and mentors team members
- Creates data warehouse schematics and layouts, and develops capacity planning
- Seeks continuous data warehouse performance improvement and ensures the security of data
- Creates and implements effective metrics and monitoring processes
- Recommends improvements and applies standards, processes, and procedures for data warehousing systems
