Role Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Demand Planning and Supply Chain Planning Data Modeler for a contract role to support analytics, reporting, and data architecture initiatives within a High-Tech Manufacturing environment.
- The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in demand planning and supply chain planning business processes, combined with strong hands-on experience in data modeling for both transactional and analytical use cases.
- This role will work closely with business stakeholders, functional SMEs, and data/BI teams to design scalable, high-quality data models that support demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, and performance analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand & Supply Chain Planning Process Expertise
- Understand and model end-to-end Demand Planning and Supply Chain Planning processes, including:
- Demand forecasting and statistical forecasting
- Forecast adjustments and overrides
- Consensus demand planning (S&OP / IBP inputs)
- Supply planning and capacity planning
- Production planning and scheduling
- Inventory planning and optimization
- Safety stock and reorder point planning
- Allocation, ATP/CTP, and backlog management
Apply High-Tech Manufacturing nuances, such as:
- Make-to-Stock (MTS), Make-to-Order (MTO), and Configure-to-Order (CTO) models
- BOM-driven planning and multi-level assemblies
- Contract manufacturing and outsourced production
- Long lead-time components and constrained supply
- High SKU velocity and rapid product life cycles
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience across demand planning, supply chain planning, and data modeling roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in data modeling for demand and supply planning analytics.
- Deep understanding of demand planning and supply chain planning processes in a High-Tech Manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience designing fact and dimension models for planning and supply chain analytics.
- Experience working with ERP-sourced data (Oracle).
- Ability to translate planning process flows into scalable data models.
- Experience with Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud (Demand Management, Supply Planning)
- Knowledge of S&OP / IBP processes
- Experience with forecast accuracy metrics (MAPE, MAD, Bias)
- Exposure to global manufacturing and multi-site planning environments
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a contract environment
- Structured, detail-oriented approach to data design
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
