Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Lab Technician experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware, including GPUs, servers, and embedded systems. The ideal candidate will handle daily lab operations, perform rework and chip-level repairs, and assist engineering teams in hardware testing and failure analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of hardware products including graphics cards, automobiles, and servers.
  • Perform GPU disassembly, ball planting, and rework on boards and components.
  • Maintain lab infrastructure — ensure tools, parts, and test setups are well-organized and functional.
  • Procure and manage lab equipment and maintain an accurate hardware inventory.
  • Support engineers with system testing, board rework, and chip attachment tasks.
  • Debug and analyze test board failures, identify root causes, and implement hardware fixes.
  • Manage logistics and shipment of chips, boards, and devices to internal teams and vendors.

 

Required Qualifications

  • BS or Vocational degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (EE/CE) or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in PC, GPU, embedded systems, or related hardware industries.
  • Strong proficiency in working with desktop motherboards, graphics cards, and embedded systems.
  • Expertise in soldering electronic components and GPU ball planting/repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and basic documentation.
  • Ability to communicate in basic English (read and write emails clearly).
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong can-do attitude.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in lab setup, ESD safety practices, and hardware testing tools.
  • Knowledge of data center or server-grade hardware environments.
  • Exposure to RMA or hardware validation processes.
