Required Skills:
3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on API development in Golang
Proficiency in Golang, Python, Java, and/or Node.js and experience with API development frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Spring Boot).
Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and CMS compliance requirements.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Centene or similar healthcare organizations.
Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations (HIPAA, CMS).
Exposure to scalable delivery models and enterprise integration patterns.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team supporting Centene’s CMS-57 API Data Modernization initiative. This role is critical to improving patient and provider data access, enhancing member experience, and ensuring compliance with CMS-57 regulatory requirements. You will be part of a high-impact team focused on delivering scalable, innovative API solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
API Development & Integration
- Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs aligned with CMS-57 standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and data sources.
- Build scalable and secure API solutions using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
Project Delivery & Enablement
- Participate in roadmap planning, proof-of-concept development, and milestone tracking.
- Contribute to technical documentation and delivery artifacts for MBRs/QBRs.
- Support iterative development cycles and course corrections based on stakeholder feedback.
Innovation & Problem Solving
- Provide technical advisement and consultation on full-stack opportunities.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve data access, quality, and performance.
- Collaborate with architects and product owners to refine technical strategy.
Value Realization & Metrics
- Support efforts to quantify and monetize project outcomes (e.g., cost savings, efficiency gains).
- Assist in gathering and validating metrics tied to business impact.
- Contribute to case studies, testimonials, and reference documentation.
