Job Title: GCP DevOps Engineer
Location: Issaquah, WA (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled GCP DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation, CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code, enabling efficient software delivery and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure on GCP
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools like Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring & Logging)
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline release processes
- Implement security best practices including IAM roles, VPC configurations, and data protection
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in production and non-production environments
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Cloud Build
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
- Solid understanding of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana)
