Job Title: Finastra PayPlus Technical Lead- (Payments Platform)

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead with practical, hands-on experience implementing and supporting Finastra’s PayPlus USA platform for high volume payments. The ideal candidate will lead solution design, integrations, upgrades, and production stability across ACH, Wire (Fedwire), SWIFT, and other rails (e.g., Zelle, BillPay), while partnering closely with business, operations, and vendor stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Ownership & Architecture:
- Lead end to end solution design and technical delivery for Finastra PayPlus USA within an enterprise banking ecosystem.
- Define integration patterns (APIs, files, MQ/Kafka, SFTP), data flows, and security model (encryption, PGP, TLS, certificates).
- Map and govern payment workflows, rule engines, routing, cut off schedules, and exception handling.
Payments Domain & Configuration:
- Configure and enhance ACH, Wires (Fedwire), SWIFT flows including NACHA compliance, OFAC screening integration, and return/repair queues.
- Support message formats and transformations: NACHA, Fedwire, SWIFT MT, ISO 20022 (MX), and bank-specific flat files.
- Implement and test RTP/Fed Now enablement where applicable; support payment limiting, fees, and sanctions/AML hooks.
Integration & Data Engineering:
- Build/lead development of interfaces to core banking, fraud/sanctions (e.g., OFAC, AML), GL, reconciliation, and reporting systems.
- Own file management (ingest/export), scheduling (e.g., Control M/Autosys), and batch/near real time processing.
- Optimize SQL queries, data repair utilities, and operational dashboards; ensure observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
