Job Description –
Expertise in Azure SQL Server Hyperscale
Experience managing and optimizing very large tables
Strong hands-on skills
Ability to work independently and immediately contribute
Key Responsibilities
Lead performance tuning and schema cleanup for Azure SQL Server Hyperscale databases.
Manage and optimize large tables, including a primary table exceeding 18 TB.
Identify and resolve inefficiencies in current SQL Server usage.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align data architecture with business needs.
Provide immediate hands-on support with a view toward long-term strategic involvement.
Required Skills
Expert-level experience with Azure SQL Server, specifically Hyperscale HA configurations.
Proven track record managing and optimizing tables in the terabyte range.
Strong SQL performance tuning and schema design skills. Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience transitioning from outsourced data teams to internal ownership.
Familiarity with enterprise-scale data platforms and cloud-native architectures
