Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, Snowflake, and Microsoft Azure to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building scalable data platforms that support business intelligence and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure and Snowflake
Write complex, high-performance SQL queries for data transformation and analytics
Build and optimize ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Snowflake
Develop and maintain data models, views, and schemas in Snowflake
Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across data systems
Optimize Snowflake performance using clustering, micro-partitions, and query tuning
Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and flat files
Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot production issues
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
Implement data security, governance, and access controls
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with SQL (advanced querying and performance tuning)
Proven experience working with Snowflake Data Warehouse
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
Azure Data Factory
Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
Azure Synapse Analytics (preferred)
Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments
Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language (preferred)
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD processes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience with dbt
Knowledge of Databricks / Apache Spark
Exposure to streaming or near-real-time data processing
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
