Job Description / Required Skills:
Role Description:
– Design and develop high-quality SQL Server database solutions following data management best practices
– Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
– Understand and work with data dimensional models
– Write, troubleshoot, and optimize Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and Triggers
– Review and interpret ongoing business reporting requirements and research required data
– Build appropriate and meaningful reporting deliverables
– Analyze existing SQL queries and recommend performance improvements
– Suggest and develop new queries as needed
– Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
– Provide timely and scheduled management reporting
– Investigate data exceptions related to asset movements
– Support development and QA activities through detailed analysis and troubleshooting
– Develop and analyze SQL Server code objects and identify defects with performance tuning recommendations
– Perform code version management and deploy code across multiple database environments
– Work with operational systems and data warehouse environments
– Demonstrate strong communication skills, self-motivation, and flexibility in work hours and direction
Essential Skills:
– Strong hands-on SQL Server development experience (SQL Server 2017, 2019, 2022)
– Extensive experience with T-SQL development
– Hands-on experience with SSIS packages
– Strong experience developing Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and Triggers
– Transactional SQL and SSIS package development
– SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) knowledge
– Performance tuning and query optimization
– Code version management and deployment practices
– Strong SQL and SSIS development background (development-focused role)
Top 3 Required Skills:
– SQL and SSIS development experience
– Hands-on experience integrating on-prem SQL Server and SSIS with cloud services
– Performance tuning and optimization
Preferred Skills:
– AWS or Azure cloud experience
– AWS Lambda exposure
– Experience with AI code generators for PowerShell and SQL
– Oracle database exposure
