Role: S5 Architect – Retail Domain
Location: Bay Area, CA (REMOTE)
Job Type: Fulltime/Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end S5 architecture solutions aligned with retail business processes and goals.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and system roadmaps.
- Provide architecture leadership across retail applications, POS systems, e-commerce, inventory, and supply chain solutions.
- Ensure architecture standards, best practices, and governance are consistently followed.
- Drive system integration with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise platforms.
- Conduct architecture reviews, proof of concepts, and guide technical teams through implementation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging retail technologies, and recommend innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–10 years of proven experience as a Solution/Enterprise/Technical Architect, with strong exposure to the retail industry.
- Expertise in S5 platform architecture and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of retail systems: POS, order management, merchandising, e-commerce, and inventory management.
- Experience in system integration (ERP, CRM, middleware, APIs).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern architecture principles (microservices, event-driven).
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in architecture (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect) or retail-specific certifications.
- Prior consulting or end-client engagement experience with large-scale retail enterprises.
- Exposure to emerging retail technologies (e.g., AI in retail, mobile commerce, customer experience platforms).
