Position- Cloudflare Architect
Location- Hybrid – Chicago, IL 60606
Responsibilities
• Understanding of DNS environment and domain management in Route 53, Godaddy, migration of domain/ transfers.
• Architecture & Design
• Develop and maintain enterprise-level architectures using Cloudflare services (CDN, WAF, Zero Trust, DDoS protection, Workers, etc.).
• Design secure and scalable solutions for web applications, APIs, and edge computing.
• Implementation & Optimization
• Lead deployment of Cloudflare products across multiple environments. • Optimize performance through caching strategies, load balancing, and traffic routing. • Security & Compliance • Implement Zero Trust frameworks, IAM policies, and secure access solutions. • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. • Partner with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to integrate Cloudflare solutions. • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and documentation for best practices. • Establish monitoring dashboards and alerts for Cloudflare services. • Troubleshoot performance, availability, and security issues proactively.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect / Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Cloudflare services.
• Deep understanding of network security, CDN technologies, DNS, and edge computing.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare Workers, Zero Trust, and Access.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration with Cloudflare. • Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform). • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Cloudflare certifications or equivalent cloud security certifications.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise deployments.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
