Cloudera Platform Engineer – Senior Role
Location: Bloomington, Illinois (Remote)
Contract
Primary skills:
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Cloudera platform management and configuration
• Hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem components including YARN, Spark, Kafka, and HBase • Experience installing, configuring, patching, scaling, and tuning Cloudera clusters • Cluster capacity planning and management
Security and infrastructure experience:
• Kerberos
• Ranger
• Sentry
• HDFS encryption
Additional responsibilities:
• Design backup and recovery strategies for HDFS and metadata services
• Maintain high availability for NameNode, Resource Manager, and Hive
• Support Azure cloud operations for hybrid data platforms
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Ensure reliability, availability, and stability of the platform
