The Senior Business Systems Analyst with Scrum Master Experience is a seasoned professional who will serve as a critical link between business strategy and technology execution. This role demands a deep understanding of complex business processes, exceptional skill in defining and managing system requirements, and the ability to act as a servant leader for multiple Agile teams. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can not only facilitate team ceremonies but also coach and mentor others while driving large-scale, enterprise-level initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, translating high-level business goals into a comprehensive technology roadmap and detailed requirements.
- Lead and facilitate complex requirements-gathering sessions, utilizing advanced elicitation techniques to uncover and document needs from a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Architect, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Serve as the lead Scrum Master for one or more teams, coaching on advanced Agile principles and practices and mentoring junior team members.
- Proactively identify and resolve complex impediments at the program or portfolio level, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Work closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and strategic vision.
- Lead change management efforts, ensuring a smooth transition for end-users by developing communication plans and training materials.
- Conduct in-depth business process analysis and re-engineering to identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
- Act as a subject matter expert on business processes and system functionalities, providing guidance and insights to the development team and other stakeholders.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of projects and the effectiveness of the Agile process.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Deep expertise in a wide range of requirements-gathering techniques, including workshops, interviews, and prototyping.
- Advanced understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and multiple Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile.
- Demonstrated proficiency with enterprise-level tools for requirements management and project tracking (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Knowledge & Skills
- Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other advanced professional certifications.
- Experience in a specific industry and with enterprise-level software systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Oracle).
- Proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools.
