Job Description:
Installation, configuration and deployment of MicroStrategy tool and clients
• Conversant with the tools in MicroStrategy suite e.g. Developer, Command Manager, Architect, Object Manager, License Manager
• Experience in Capacity sizing/Planning of MicroStrategy infrastructure components
• Linux/UNIX operating systems • SQL troubleshooting, report failures, project and Intelligence server level governing settings and their impacts. • Report and Dashboard development
• MicroStrategy SDK environment
• Migrating to MicroStrategy Cloud
• Performance tuning and monitoring
• Package and release management
• Security and administration
• Content administration
**Responsibilities**
**MicroStrategy Administration**
- Perform day-to-day administration including roles, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)groups, user portals, content management (reports/folders/users), and patch implementations.
- Implement patches and other day-to-day tasks including creating folders/reports/users and migrating reports/folders/users from Dev to QA to Production.
- Support all MicroStrategy configuration requirements including working with DBAs to set up and test new data sources used by MicroStrategy, creating new MicroStrategy security roles, and setting up new user security and reporting interfaces for users.
- Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and monitoring of MicroStrategy infrastructure
- Set up monitoring and alerts notifications for key performance indicators (KPIs) for the MicroStrategy infrastructure
- Define and execute procedures for migrating MicroStrategy application/configuration objects across Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
- Handle the implementation, testing, and documentation of new and updated MicroStrategy reporting/Configuration packages to be moved into staging / production environment
- Build and optimize reports, dashboards, and cubes; troubleshoot reporting/configuration issues; support store group data analytics and visualization.
- Support developers by troubleshooting reporting issues related to MicroStrategy configurations and/or cubes/reports/dashboards
- Create and maintain test plans, Technical Support Guides (TSGs), runbooks, manuals, and training materials for engineering and support teams
