JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIRED SKILLS:
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
– Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers across RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, and SUSE
– Manage physical and virtual Linux environments (VMware)
– Perform system updates, patches, and security hardening
– Configure and manage system services (systemd, init.d)
– Implement user account management, access controls, and sudo policies
– Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning
– Manage disk storage, LVM, filesystems, and partitions
– Configure and optimize kernel parameters and system tuning
– Deploy and provision Linux servers using automation tools and kickstart/preseed
– Manage server lifecycle from provisioning to decommissioning
– Implement load balancing and failover mechanisms
– Configure network interfaces, routing, VLANs, bonding/teaming
– Manage firewalls (iptables, firewalld, nftables)
– Configure DNS, DHCP, and VPN solutions (OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard)
– Configure SELinux/AppArmor policies and SSL/TLS certificates
– Manage storage solutions (NFS, CIFS/Samba, iSCSI) and RAID configurations
