Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Microservice Developer with 7+ years of overall IT experience and at least 4 years of dedicated experience in Microservice architecture design and development. This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite (Tue-Thu) at either the Buffalo Grove, IL or Richardson, TX location. The role requires strong expertise in Spring Boot, OpenJDK, Apache Camel, and containerization (Azure Kubernetes/OpenShift). The developer will be responsible for implementing microservices, utilizing non-blocking I/O coding, implementing logging (fluentd) and metrics (Sleuth), and ensuring consistent, robust code quality across all services.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements
Microservices & Core Development
- Lead projects as a Technical Lead in Middleware or J2EE technologies.
- Implement Rest controller with Spring Boot project structure.
- Implement transformation with Apache Camel project structure.
- Utilize Business Delegate Pattern and Microservice Design Patterns.
- Implement non-blocking I/O coding.
Required Stack & Tools
- Core Backend: Spring Boot, OpenJDK, J2EE.
- Integration: Apache Camel.
- Containerization/Orchestration: Azure Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform.
- Database: Mongo DB.
- CI/CD & Testing: GitHub, JUnit (writing test cases for each Micro Service), STS.
Observability & Quality
- Implement logging using fluentd.
- Implement metrics/transaction tracking using Sleuth.
- Implement appropriate exception and API error handling.
- Maintain consistent Maven Dependency (pom.xml) versions across all micro services.
