Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Business Data/Middle Office Technical
Analyst with strong investment operations and credit domain knowledge to
support and enhance middle office technology platforms. This role
partners closely with Operations, Controllers, Technology teams, and
vendors to deliver high-impact solutions across fund accounting, trade
processing, and data integration.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with Middle Office and Investment Operations teams to
translate complex operational workflows into clear functional
requirements.
• Lead initiatives across the SDLC, coordinating with internal
development teams and external vendors to deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive system enhancements related to trade processing, position management, P&L, accruals, and reconciliations. • Own functional testing, UAT coordination, and validation of end-to-end workflows across integrated systems. • Act as a senior escalation point for production issues, performing root cause analysis and driving permanent resolutions. • Ensure platform stability and operational excellence by meeting SLAs and improving support processes. • Analyze existing middle office platforms to identify optimization, automation, and integration opportunities. • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Middle Office technology strategy.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience supporting investment operations platforms
within financial services.
• Strong domain expertise in Middle Office functions and credit
instruments (bank loans, bonds, derivatives).
• Hands-on experience with FIS VPM or a comparable fund accounting
platform.
• Advanced skills in Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and
reconciliation.
• Experience working with data warehouses, data models, and complex
system integrations.
• Proven experience supporting applications hosted on AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced,
high-pressure environment.
Preferred:
• Experience working directly with Operations, Controllers, and Front
Office stakeholders.
• Strong vendor management and system integration experience.
• Background in large-scale asset management or investment management
environments.
