Role-ADO Tech Lead with SAP exp
Location-Plano, TX- Onsite from Day 1- Hybrid -3 days

The client is looking for a strong Azure DevOps (ADO) Tech Lead with SAP exposure, who can take ownership of end-to-end DevOps strategy and execution, especially in an enterprise environment like SAP S/4HANA. They need someone hands-on with Azure DevOps tools (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts) and experienced in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, along with infrastructure automation using Terraform/ARM/Bicep. The ideal candidate should also have solid experience in Azure cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python), along with a good understanding of security and monitoring tools. Since this is a lead role, the client expects someone who can mentor teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Dev, QA, Cloud, Security), and drive automation and best practices to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure deployments. SAP experience is important to align DevOps practices with SAP S/4HANA testing and governance processes.
Role Summary
The Azure DevOps Tech Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps processes.
This role involves leading a team, ensuring best practices, and collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Manage and automate infrastructure using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Oversee source control, branching strategies, and version management (Git).
- Implement DevOps best practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, cloud, security) to streamline workflows.
- Monitor and improve system performance, deployment reliability, and environment stability.
- Ensure proper security configurations and compliance across DevOps processes.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and environment issues.
- Mentor and guide DevOps engineers on technical and process improvements.
- Prepare documentation, dashboards, and reports on DevOps activities.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of overall experience, with 3+ years in a DevOps lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts).
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines for .NET, Java, or cloud-native applications.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Services (App Services, AKS, Storage, Networking, Key Vault, etc.).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Grafana, etc.).
- Good understanding of security best practices (RBAC, policies, secrets management).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
