Data Governance Lead

IDR is seeking a Data Governance Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Salem, OR. In this role, you will drive enterprise data governance strategy and day-to-day execution, partnering with business and technical stakeholders to improve data quality, accountability, and adoption. This opportunity supports a highly regulated environment (example industry: insurance / public-sector services), with a focus on enabling trusted data and analytics outcomes.

Position Overview for the Data Governance Lead:

Lead and operationalize enterprise data governance initiatives, driving adoption of policies, standards, and processes
Establish and manage data stewardship frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and escalation paths
Configure and enhance Collibra to support governance workflows, metadata management, and data catalog structures
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize governance activities, improve accountability, and increase engagement
Support analytics enablement efforts, including self-service analytics adoption and improved data accessibility

Requirements for the Data Governance Lead:

10+ years of experience in data governance, program/delivery controls, or related governance/quality roles
Proven experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing enterprise data governance programs
Hands-on Collibra implementation experience (configuration, workflow design, metadata and catalog management)
Strong knowledge of data stewardship operating models, decision rights, and escalation frameworks
Experience in the Workers’ Compensation industry
