Principal C#/.NET Engineer – Mainframe Modernization & EF Core

Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Principal C#/.NET Engineer to lead modernization of a large legacy system into a clean, scalable, and high-performance .NET application. This role will drive code refactoring, define EF Core data architecture, optimize APIs and batch processing, and ensure delivery quality in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Refactor complex legacy-converted code into maintainable C#/.NET

·         Lead Entity Framework Core design, optimization, and migrations

·         Build and enhance ASP.NET Core Web APIs and service layers

·         Improve performance, scalability, and code quality

·         Define development standards and mentor engineers

·         Ensure strong testing, CI/CD, and secure coding practices

Required Skills

·         10+ years in C# and .NET Core/.NET 6/7/8/10

·         Strong expertise in EF Core, LINQ, async/await

·         Experience with REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and software architecture

·         Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, Node.js

·         Experience with testing frameworks, Git, SonarQube, Docker, CI/CD, and AWS

Preferred Skills

·         Legacy modernization experience

·         Mainframe and batch processing knowledge

·         Performance tuning in large-scale systems

·         Experience in regulated, high-accuracy environments

Schedule

·         100% onsite for first 30 days

·         Then hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
