SAP S/4HANA.
This role will support and optimize discrete manufacturing and aftermarket service operations within complex Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Make-to-Order (MTO) environments. The consultant will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service Center teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
The primary focus is hands-on SAP PP configuration. Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and/or SAP Quality Management (QM) is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on SAP PP configuration to support discrete manufacturing, ETO/MTO production, and service and repair operations.
Analyze manufacturing and aftermarket service workflows, identify process gaps, and implement improvements.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across Engineering, Operations, Service Centers, Supply Chain, and Quality.
Translate complex manufacturing, repair, traceability, and compliance requirements into SAP functionality.
Support and lead SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, integrations, and global rollouts.
Develop test plans and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in accordance with client quality standards.
Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements for manufacturing and repair processes.
Develop user documentation, work instructions, and training materials, and deliver training to manufacturing and service center teams.
Monitor SAP system and process performance and drive continuous improvement across shop floors and service centers.
Apply SAP best practices and relevant innovations for discrete manufacturing, engineered products, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of SAP experience, with a primary focus on SAP PP.
Hands-on SAP configuration experience supporting discrete manufacturing and service/repair or MRO environments.
Deep knowledge of production master data, bills of material (BOMs), routings, variant configuration, production orders, and shop floor execution.
Strong understanding of service and repair workflows, including service orders, equipment master data, notifications, and refurbishment.
Experience supporting quality, compliance, traceability, and ISO-driven environments.
Ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Experience delivering global SAP projects using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Strong documentation, testing, training, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
Based in Irving, TX or Houston, TX, with the ability to work in a hybrid arrangement and travel up to 50% within North America.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP S/4HANA implementation experience with SAP PP.
SAP PM and/or SAP QM configuration experience.
Advanced knowledge of ETO/MTO manufacturing processes and aftermarket service models.
Experience in industrial equipment, flow control, rotating equipment, oil and gas, or similar manufacturing and service industries.
Experience integrating SAP with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, or shop floor technologies.
Familiarity with pump, valve, and seal product lines.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving business requirements.
