Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Full Vehicle Instrumentation Technician with a strong automotive background and hands-on experience working with EV/Hybrid vehicles. This role involves vehicle tear-down and assembly, instrumentation installation, sensor setup, data acquisition, and vehicle wiring.
Key Responsibilities
Perform full vehicle tear-down, assembly, and reassembly.
Install and troubleshoot automotive instrumentation and sensors.
Work with strain gauges, thermocouples, string pots, displacement gauges, accelerometers, and force transducers.
Install and troubleshoot low-voltage and high-voltage vehicle wiring.
Set up and operate automotive data acquisition systems.
Support vehicle testing, instrumentation, and data collection activities.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
Follow required safety procedures when working with high-voltage EV/Hybrid systems.
Work closely with engineering and testing teams to support vehicle testing and validation.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
Hands-on experience with EV/Hybrid vehicles.
Experience with full vehicle tear-down and assembly.
Experience with automotive instrumentation and sensors.
Experience with strain gauges, thermocouples, string pots, displacement gauges, accelerometers, and force transducers.
Experience with data acquisition systems such as ETAS, eDAQ, Michigan Scientific, Kistler, Peak, or Vector.
Strong experience with low-voltage and high-voltage vehicle wiring.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
