Job Title: Lead ETL Developer
Location: New York, NY (Contract)

Job Description

Design and build scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest structured and semi-structured data into Snowflake.
Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level data engineers.
Manage Snowflake compute resources, optimize storage costs, and implement auto-scaling and clustering strategies.
Automate complex workflows using Snowpipe, Tasks, and Streams along with orchestration engines.
Design star schemas, snowflake schemas, Data Vault, and dimensional models aligned with business reporting requirements.
Monitor Query Profiles, refactor complex SQL and stored procedures, and optimize analytics workloads.
Implement Role-Based Access Control, Object Tagging, Dynamic Data Masking, and secure data sharing.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and cloud data platforms.
Work with dbt, Airflow, Matillion, Talend, or Informatica.
Use advanced SQL, window functions, and Python, JavaScript, or SQL stored procedures.
Implement CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure-as-code deployment pipelines.
Work with real-time data streaming technologies for Snowflake.
Required Skills

8+ years of Data Engineering/ETL Development experience.
3+ years of technical leadership experience.
3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
Expert SQL and advanced SQL scripting.
Experience with dbt, Airflow, Matillion, Talend, or Informatica.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Skills

SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Architect certification.
CI/CD and DevOps experience.
Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
Real-time data streaming experience.
