Rate: $70/hr. (Negotiable)

Job Description:
We are looking for a Principal Tableau & AI Analytics Architect to lead enterprise-scale Tableau platform architecture, governance, embedded analytics, and AI/GenAI integration.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise-wide Tableau rollout, governance, lifecycle management, and self-service adoption.
• Architect scalable Tableau Data Apps using Embedding API v3 and VizQL Data Service.
• Integrate Tableau with Enterprise Assistant, autonomous BI agents, and GenAI using trusted semantic grounding.
• Design and deploy production-grade MCP servers/pipelines exposing Tableau metadata, schemas, and query capabilities.
• Architect high-performance Tableau clusters supporting 25,000+ active users.
• Optimize Tableau with Trino, StarRocks, Snowflake, Hyper extracts, and Backgrounder.
• Implement enterprise security including RLS/CLS, LDAP/AD, OAuth, SAML, PATs, Connected Apps/JWT, and data sovereignty controls.
• Build automation and developer tooling using Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Lead legacy BI migrations from platforms such as ThoughtSpot, BusinessObjects, and HAWK.

Required Experience
• 10+ years in Enterprise Data Engineering, Analytics, or Systems Architecture.
• 5+ years of enterprise Tableau platform and API experience.
• Experience with large-scale Tableau deployments, distributed query engines, and enterprise security.
• Hands-on experience with REST API, Metadata API/GraphQL, Embedding API v3, VizQL Data Service, and MCP.
• Practical experience with LLMs, autonomous agents, semantic models, and AI tool-calling.
• Background in Big Tech, hyperscale SaaS, or Tableau Professional Services preferred.
