Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on SAP Consultant – OneSource Tax Provision / Tax Tools to support tax technology initiatives within a global enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with OneSource Tax Provision, Thomson Reuters tax solutions, or similar direct tax technology platforms and will play a key role in supporting application enhancements, testing, issue resolution, documentation, and deployment activities.

This position requires close collaboration with Tax, Finance, IT, and project teams to ensure successful execution of tax technology projects and operational support activities. The consultant will be responsible for translating business requirements into clear technical deliverables while supporting testing, issue management, and production readiness efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support OneSource Tax Provision and related tax technology initiatives, enhancements, and operational activities.

• Partner with Tax, Finance, IT, and project stakeholders to understand business requirements and support project delivery.

• Document business requirements, process flows, user stories, test cases, and operational procedures.

• Utilize JIRA to manage project tasks, defects, issue tracking, testing activities, and follow-up actions.

• Support testing efforts including system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and validation activities.

• Coordinate issue resolution by working with business users, developers, and support teams.

• Assist with application configuration, deployment support, and post-production stabilization activities.

• Track, monitor, and report on project deliverables, testing progress, and outstanding issues.

• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with audit and compliance requirements.

• Support production incidents and provide timely issue analysis and resolution.

• Contribute to continuous process improvements across tax technology platforms and business processes.

• Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

 

Required Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience supporting enterprise tax, finance, or compliance applications.

• Hands-on experience with OneSource Tax Provision, Thomson Reuters tax solutions, or comparable direct tax technology platforms.

• Strong experience with JIRA, issue management, and project coordination.

• Proven ability to gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements.

• Experience creating test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and supporting user acceptance testing.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Experience managing defects, issue resolution, and production support activities.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced global environment.

• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SOX, Finance, Tax, or Compliance-related applications.

• Experience with Osprey or other enterprise tax platforms.

• Familiarity with SAP-integrated tax processes.

• Experience working within large, multinational organizations.

• Knowledge of software delivery lifecycle methodologies and release management processes.
