Electrical Design ERP BOM Engineer
Houston, TX(Day One Onsite)Role Summary:
The Electrical BOM Engineer will review released project drawing packages and validate
ERP Bill of Materials accuracy to support manufacturing readiness and production
execution.Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ The candidate will execute Electrical design activities while also supporting Engineering
Bill of Materials (EBOM) and ERP BOM validation to ensure manufacturing-ready
engineering documentation. Existing part numbers massaging in ERP like update
description, add part catalogue, image, update as per new defined attributes etc.
ā¢ Review project drawing packages including GA drawings, schematics, panel layouts and
material lists.
ā¢ Compare engineering drawings with ERP BOM records.
ā¢ Identify missing components, quantity discrepancies and incorrect part numbers.
ā¢ Update ERP BOM records and part numbers to align with released engineering
documentation
ā¢ Support procurement teams by ensuring material completeness prior to production.
ā¢ Track recurring causes of BOM errors and recommend process improvements.
ā¢ Generate audit reports and closure summaries for each project reviewed.
ā¢ Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve discrepancies.
ā¢ Support pilot projects and develop standard audit procedures.Required Skills:
ā¢ Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings.
ā¢ Understanding of Bill of Materials structures.
ā¢ Experience with manufacturing engineering documentation.
ā¢ Familiarity with ERP systems and material management processes.
ā¢ Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset.
ā¢ Good communication and documentation skills.
