Senior Python Engineer (AI Integrations & Cloud)
Location: San Antonio, TX (Preferred) | Plano, TX (Secondary Preference)
Duration: Contract
Rate: Up to $70/hr (Depending on Experience)
Work Authorization: Open (H1B candidates considered if they possess exceptional technical expertise and communication skills)
Position Overview
Senior Python Engineers to join a strategic technology initiative focused on building AI-enabled platforms, integrations, and cloud-native services. This is an opportunity to work on impactful engineering projects involving modern AI solutions, scalable APIs, and cloud architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
We are looking for hands-on senior developers with deep Python expertise, strong cloud experience, and recent exposure to meaningful AI implementations. Candidates must have a software engineering background and should not primarily come from AI/ML Operations or infrastructure-focused roles.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services.
Build and integrate AI-powered solutions into enterprise platforms and business workflows.
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI and related frameworks.
Design and implement cloud-native solutions, preferably within AWS environments.
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong expertise in Python development within enterprise-scale environments.
Experience developing APIs and integrations using FastAPI or similar modern frameworks.
Hands-on cloud experience, with AWS strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience working on AI-driven projects within the last 2 years.
Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
Experience integrating AI capabilities into products, applications, or business workflows.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building Generative AI applications or AI-enabled business solutions.
Familiarity with LLM integrations, vector databases, RAG architectures, or AI orchestration frameworks.
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Financial services or regulated industry experience is a plus.

Preferred: San Antonio, TX (4 days onsite)
Secondary Preference: Plano, TX (4 days onsite)
