Data Architect / Data Modeller (Onshore)
Role Summary: Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for the Data Mesh platform on Snowflake including data modeling, security design, RBAC/RLS, anonymization, and governance alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for 9 source systems and 2 MVP data products
Define Snowflake account architecture (RAW/CURATED/GOLD layers, warehouse sizing, retention policies)
Design RBAC hierarchy, Row-Level Security, and column masking policies (SHA-256 hashing for PHI/PII)
Own naming standards, service user key-pair authentication, network policies, and MFA enforcement
Review pipeline patterns and enforce Data Mesh interoperability policies
Support ZB InfoSec reviews and HIPAA compliance sign-offs
Guide CI/CD promotion path (Dev Test Prod) via Azure DevOps
Must-Have Skills:
12+ years in data architecture, with 3+ years on Snowflake (SnowPro Advanced certification preferred)
Deep expertise in dimensional & data vault modeling
Hands-on with Azure Data Factory, dbt, Azure Key Vault, Pulumi IaC
Data Mesh principles (Domain Ownership, Data as a Product, Federated Governance)
HIPAA / PHI / PII compliance experience (healthcare/life sciences preferred)
Good-to-Have: Erwin/ER Studio, TOGAF certification, Horizon Data Catalog, Life Sciences domain
