Employment Type: W2 / C2C / 1099
W2 Rate: $70/hr
C2C/1099 Rate: $68/hr Max

Position Overview
UCOP is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft HCM Developer with deep hands-on experience developing and supporting PeopleSoft HCM solutions, particularly across Workforce Administration, Talent Acquisition Management, and ePerformance.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.x, a strong understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM data model, and a proven track record delivering large-scale, end-to-end PeopleSoft HCM implementations involving large user populations and multiple locations.
This is a highly collaborative, client-facing position requiring strong technical expertise as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications / Must-Haves
PeopleSoft HCM Experience
• 8+ years of PeopleSoft HCM 9.x development experience
• Proven experience with at least 2 recent/current large-scale, end-to-end PeopleSoft HCM implementations
• Implementations must involve large numbers of users and multiple locations
• Advanced experience designing and developing PeopleSoft HCM solutions across:
o Workforce Administration (WFA)
o Talent Acquisition Management (TAM)
o ePerformance
• Deep understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM data model
PeopleSoft Development
• Strong experience developing and maintaining:
o PeopleSoft Application Engine
o Component Interfaces (CI)
o Fluid Pages
o Integration Broker services
o Custom reports
• Strong Application Engine and SQL skills
• Advanced experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Experience with BI Publisher
Fluid / Web Technologies
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o JavaScript
o HTML
o CSS
o Web development tools
• Experience enhancing PeopleSoft Fluid UI components for improved accessibility, usability, navigation, and end-user experience
• Hands-on experience with some or all of:
o Fluid Technology
o Tiles
o Related Content
o Event Mapping
o Page and Field Configurator
Implementation / Migration
• Experience preparing PeopleSoft configuration strategies
• Experience with object migration using STAT and/or PHIRE
• Understanding of migration procedures, standards, and best practices
• Ability to determine appropriate automated vs. manual implementation methods
• Demonstrated ability to develop:
o Conversion plans
o System implementation plans
o Technical design specifications
o Test plans

Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in the development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of UCPath, the PeopleSoft HCM ERP system, primarily across Workforce Administration, Talent Acquisition Management, and ePerformance.
2. Design and develop high-quality, defect-free enhancements while following PeopleSoft and industry best practices.
3. Collaborate with core development teams, subject matter experts, university business teams, technical counterparts, and campus project teams.
4. Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable PeopleSoft HCM solutions.
5. Define technical requirements for complex software specifications and apply advanced software development concepts to plan, design, develop, modify, debug, deploy, and evaluate complex applications.
6. Analyze existing complex software, formulate application logic, develop algorithms, and design solutions for new functionality.
7. Perform complex data analysis, troubleshooting, debugging, and testing while working closely with technical and business leadership.
8. Develop and maintain PeopleSoft Application Engine programs, Component Interfaces, Fluid pages, Integration Broker services, custom reports, and related HCM components.
9. Apply and enforce appropriate programming and application security practices.
10. Provide advanced production support, including participation in support rotations and on-call support when required.
11. Troubleshoot production issues by reviewing processes, analyzing system data, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective solutions.
12. Work directly with customers and business stakeholders to resolve system issues and develop solutions for recurring defects.
13. Assess, triage, troubleshoot, and escalate complex technical issues as appropriate.
14. Prepare, review, maintain, and obtain required approvals for technical and system documentation.
15. Establish and maintain development, maintenance, configuration, and system standards.
16. Support data integration initiatives and participate in the specification and implementation of data services.
17. Ensure solutions align with application best practices and UCOP technical and business requirements.
