Job Description
We are seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to support a large-scale data center migration program involving the relocation of physical and virtual servers between facilities with minimal downtime and strong service continuity.
The engineer will be responsible for planning and executing end-to-end server migrations, managing Linux compute infrastructure, and supporting VMware environments throughout migration activities. The role requires hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere, vMotion, Storage vMotion, iSCSI, LVM, Bash, and Python.
The engineer will coordinate migration waves, rollback plans, validation activities, and troubleshooting before, during, and after cutover. The role will also involve building automation and runbooks to make migration processes repeatable and reliable while maintaining security, stability, and compliance across the Linux environment.
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, CI/CD, networking, and container platforms is required. Candidates should also be comfortable working with infrastructure, engineering, and support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
