Job Overview
We are seeking a ServiceNow IRM Engineer to join a dynamic and growing Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology (GRCT) organization. The successful candidate will design, configure, develop, and implement scalable solutions across Compliance, Risk, and Integrated Risk Management (IRM) domains using the ServiceNow platform.
This role requires strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience, business and technology knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with Product Owners, Staff Architects, Staff Engineers, and other engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and business-aligned solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow IRM/GRC solutions based on business and compliance requirements.
Participate in the complete SDLC, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and documentation.
Configure and customize ServiceNow using workflows, business rules, UI policies, ACLs, scripts, integrations, and CMDB.
Develop technology and implementation design documentation and provide estimates for design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing; review test scripts and support test automation initiatives.
Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development and implementation best practices.
Collaborate with Product Owners to recommend scalable, maintainable, and clean solutions.
Work with Agile Champions and Release Train Engineers to prepare and coordinate configurations for production releases.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies and follow Agile/SAFe methodologies using tools such as Rally.
Support ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, XML, and other integration technologies.
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
Stay current with GRC/IRM industry trends and ServiceNow capabilities.
Contribute to continuous improvement of ServiceNow IRM processes, configurations, and development standards.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development/configuration experience, including Integrated Risk Management (IRM) solutions and components.
3+ years of software development experience.
Strong experience with ServiceNow configuration, workflows, scripting, UI policies, ACLs, integrations, and CMDB.
Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with REST APIs, XML, Jelly, Java, and AngularJS.
Strong understanding of GRC, Risk, Compliance, and IRM concepts.
Understanding of ServiceNow development and implementation methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical teams and senior leadership.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
Experience developing JavaScript utilities and reusable ServiceNow scripts.
Strong understanding of conceptual architecture and enterprise technology solutions.
3+ years of Agile experience with hands-on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience.
Previous experience in systems analysis and programming.
Knowledge of Machine Learning or Generative AI is a plus.
Exposure to ServiceNow Now Assist is preferred.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise ServiceNow environments.
