Overview:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for receiving automation requirements and implementing solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of the automation infrastructure. This role focuses primarily on automating On-Prem server builds related to Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) through vCenter or other virtualization/hypervisor platforms. Additionally, the Automation Engineer may take on other automation responsibilities as they are determined, contributing to various projects and initiatives within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand automation requirements for server builds.
ā¢ Develop and maintain automation solutions utilizing Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform to streamline the server build process.
ā¢ Automate On-Prem server builds for Windows Server and RHEL environments using vCenter.
ā¢ Ensure compliance with internal concepts, standards, regulations, and operating standards within the environment.
ā¢ Make informed decisions regarding work approaches and priorities, following established guidelines while exercising judgment in specific situations
Technical:
ā¢ Proven experience with Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform.
ā¢ Familiarity with operating systems, specifically Windows Server and RHEL.
ā¢ Experience managing server infrastructure, particularly in vCenter or a hypervisor
