Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET & Azure Developer with 15+ years of enterprise software engineering experience to design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performance applications and Azure-based data solutions.
The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Functions. Experience working within large enterprise environments (Fortune 500 preferred) or Capital Markets / Banking is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Serverless Development: Design, develop, and maintain Azure-based applications, event-driven microservices, and serverless architectures using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Functions.
API & Application Engineering: Build scalable C#/.NET Core applications, RESTful APIs, and integration layers connecting enterprise databases, cloud services, and third-party systems.
Data Integration & Pipelines: Create, optimize, and orchestrate automated data pipelines (ADF) for complex data ingestion, transformation, and batch processing.
Database Optimization: Write and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and data models for maximum performance and reliability.
DevOps & Release Management: Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, configuration management, and version control (Git).
Production Support & Governance: Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Application Insights) to troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure and application issues.
Mentorship & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews, establish engineering design patterns, and mentor team members on modern enterprise development standards.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of professional software engineering and enterprise architecture experience.
10+ years of hands-on experience developing with C# and .NET / .NET Core.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Functions.
Strong SQL Server background (complex T-SQL, query tuning, indexing, and data modeling).
Strong experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Proven background working with enterprise DevOps and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
Excellent communication skills (ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders).
Recent experience with local projects in the NY/NJ area.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with additional Azure services: Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Key Vault, Application Insights.
Background in Capital Markets, Banking, Financial Services, or Fortune 500 enterprises.
Track record of modernizing legacy .NET applications to cloud-native Azure architectures.
