Need REAL pure AWS data engineers. AWS services, Glue, python, S3, lambdas, SQL, NOSQL, etc. Lead(hands on).

 

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a senior cloud engineer who has built enterprise-scale AWS data platforms from the ground up. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with modern cloud architecture, DevOps automation, and data engineering expertise.

Candidates with experience supporting Enterprise Data Platforms in large financial services organizations.

 

Overview

Our client, a major investment management firm, is seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer with strong AWS cloud engineering and DevOps expertise to help build and enhance a large-scale Enterprise Data Platform.

 This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role focused on designing and developing cloud-native data pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code, building CI/CD pipelines, and delivering scalable AWS data solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across the AWS ecosystem, Python development, DevOps automation, and modern data engineering best practices.

 

Experience with Informatica IDMC, Data Catalog, Data Marketplace, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Denodo, or Ataccama is a significant plus.

 

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience
• AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer Certification (required)
• Strong AWS cloud engineering experience
• Expert-level Python, SQL, and Shell scripting
• Experience designing enterprise data pipelines
• AWS Data Lake/Data Warehouse experience

 

AWS Technologies

Strong experience with most of the following:

• S3
• Glue
• Glue DataBrew
• Athena
• EMR / Spark

 

Preferred:

• Amazon Kinesis
• AWS Managed Airflow
• AWS Managed Kafka (MSK)

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable AWS data engineering solutions
• Develop high-performance data ingestion pipelines
• Build ETL/ELT frameworks
• Design cloud-native data platforms
• Develop reusable Python components
