Title: SR. QA AUTOMATION SDET ENGINEER-10+ years

This is a contract position (6+ months) and hybrid onsite.
Visa : USC or H4 EAD (NO GC)

Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation and functional testing for a web-based enterprise application, using an advanced automation framework such as Cucumber, along with API testing experience (SOAP UI or Postman). You'll be responsible for testing across the full QA/Test lifecycle (SIT, UAT, functional testing), and within Group B, designing automation test suites, setting up performance test systems, and developing end-to-end system tests.

What You'll Do:

• Build automated frameworks, tools, tests, and infrastructure to drive software quality
• Collaborate with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation
• Work with SMEs to define test automation needs and build necessary scripts
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product Management, UX, Customer Support) to develop test plans reflecting real-world scenarios
• Help drive the development process toward quality-centric methodologies

Experience Needed:

• 3+ years as a Sr. Software Engineer in Test
• 2+ years of automated scripting experience
• Ability to translate use cases/technical specs into test cases
• Coding ability (Java, JavaScript, Python) for automated web testing tools/frameworks
• Experience automating REST API services
• Experience configuring test pipelines in Jenkins
• Experience with one or more frameworks: Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG
• Ability to build regression test suites via code
• Strong QA methodology knowledge
• Ability to analyze technical specs and log files
• Strong cross-functional communication skills
• Strong organizational skills managing multiple test executions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Preferred:

• Agile/Scrum experience
• Ability to synthesize results from multiple simultaneous test executions
• Strong business-to-test-plan translation skills
• Proven problem-solving ability
