The ideal candidate is an SME in the Microsoft platform and must be able to motivate, teach, and influence others.
They should have a strong background in governance, risk management, strategic planning, and maximizing business value.
They must be able to make complex decisions in ambiguous environments and handle escalations effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Owns the Microsoft 365 platform strategy, operating model, and forward-looking roadmap aligned to business priorities and productivity outcomes
• Establishes and enforces standards for platform usage (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), balancing user experience, risk, cost, and scalability
• Defines and maintains enterprise M365 governance, including lifecycle management, data retention, classification, and acceptable use
• Serves as the primary business liaison for compliance and risk requirements
• Partners with Finance and Procurement on licensing strategy, vendor management, and cost optimization
• Monitors governance effectiveness and adjusts based on risk assessments, audits, and business feedback
• Provides oversight of platform operations, service health, and support escalation
• Acts as the escalation point for high-impact issues, driving decisions, communication, and risk mitigation
• Uses operational, adoption, and experience metrics to drive continuous platform improvement
• Leads adoption and change strategies to ensure effective, consistent use of M365 across the organization
• Sponsors major initiatives (e.g., SharePoint Online migrations), minimizing disruption and maximizing business value

Experience:

• 5 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services
• Experience with SharePoint Online (site design, permissions, metadata, content types, migration), Microsoft Teams administration, and OneDrive management
• Microsoft certifications (MS-700, MS-720, MS-600, SC-300, PL-200, etc.)

Preferred Training, Certification, and Education:

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale SharePoint or workflow migrations
• Background in digital workplace transformation, ECM, or cloud governance programs
