Windchill Solution Architect

Experience Required:

Total Experience: 15–18 Years
Relevant Experience: Minimum 10–12 years in PTC Windchill PLM
Minimum 5 years of experience in Solution Architecture roles
 

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect enterprise-scale PTC Windchill PLM solutions
Lead solution design, customization, integration, migration, and upgrade initiatives
Define scalable and secure PLM architectures aligned with business and engineering requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, ERP, and IT
Drive performance optimization, governance, and best practices for Windchill implementations
 

Required Technical Skills

Strong expertise in PTC Windchill PLM (11.x / 12.x / 13.x)
Hands-on experience with:
Windchill PDMLink
ProjectLink
MPMLink
PartsLink
Change Management
Document Management
Experience with Creo Integration (WGM) and CAD Data Management
Expertise in Windchill customization using:
Java
JCA
JSP
MVC
Info*Engine
OData
REST APIs
Web Services
Experience in Windchill Upgrade, Migration, and Performance Tuning
Strong understanding of:
Windchill Data Model
Access Control
Lifecycle Management
Workflow
Business Rules
Experience integrating Windchill with enterprise systems such as:
SAP
Oracle ERP
MES
Teamcenter
Enovia
Other third-party applications
Knowledge of Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) and data migration strategies
Strong database knowledge (Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL)
Experience with Apache Tomcat, Method Server configuration, LDAP, SSO, and Security
Exposure to AWS/Azure, container technologies, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies is highly desirable

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience leading large-scale PLM transformation programs
Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor development teams
