Job Description
Title: ServiceNow Developer
Location: Remote EST hours
Visas: USC only. Remote

Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and platform capabilities to support enterprise ITSM and service desk operations.
· Implement and manage service request workflows and service catalog offerings to streamline service delivery, including but not limited to:
o Request intake
o Automated triage
o Routing
o Approvals
o Fulfillment processes
· Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms (e.g., monitoring, identity management, security tools [Splunk, etc.]) using REST APIs and data formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
· Develop and optimize workflow automation and orchestration within ServiceNow to reduce manual service desk tasks, improve operational efficiency, and enable automated ticket creation and response coordination.
· Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, forms, user interfaces, and automation logic to enhance usability and support evolving service management requirements.
· Develop dashboards, reports, and operational metrics within ServiceNow to support service desk performance monitoring, operational visibility, and decision making.
· Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and platform engineering teams to ensure ServiceNow workflows support incident response, vulnerability management, and operational resilience processes.
· Support platform life cycle activities, including testing, release management, deployment, and implementation of new ServiceNow capabilities and enhancements.
· Provide production support and troubleshooting for the ServiceNow platform, resolving defects, maintaining system stability, and supporting end users.
· Document system configurations, updates, and operational procedures to ensure accurate technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
· Support implementation of AI-enabled ServiceNow capabilities, including but not limited to:
o Predictive intelligence
o Virtual agents
o Automated ticket classification
o Intelligent routing
Requirements
General Abilities and Attributes
· United States citizenship
· At least eight (8) years of experience in enterprise IT development, platform engineering, and/or automation roles
· Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, infrastructure, networking concepts, and security monitoring and operations environments
· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including service desk, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data teams
· Experience supporting environments aligned with government cybersecurity compliance frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST CSF)
Specific Technical Skills
· At least four (4) years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
· Strong experience with ServiceNow platform development, including but not limited to:
o Business rules
o Script includes
o Flow Designer
o UI Policies
o Client scripts
o Service Catalog development
o Integration Hub
· Strong experience developing and maintaining ServiceNow ITSM capabilities, including the following modules:
o Incident
o Problem
o Change
o Request
o Service Catalog
· Familiarity with monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security) for log analysis; monitoring; and operational and security analytics and event integration
· Experience implementing ServiceNow Service Desk and IT operations management (ITOM) capabilities to support enterprise service delivery
· Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise platforms using REST APIs, XML, JSON, and web services
· Familiarity with Splunk dashboards, alerts, and event management workflows for integration with ITSM processes
· Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across platform integrations and automation workflows
· Knowledge of ServiceNow’s automation and AI features, including but not limited to:
o Virtual Agent
o Predictive Intelligence
o Workflow automation
o Intelligent Ticket Routing
o AI-assisted service management

• Designed, developed, and deployed 5 custom scoped applications end-to-end, including data modeling, workflow design, business logic (Business Rules, Script Includes), UI customization (Client Scripts, UI Policies), and Service Catalog items used across multiple agency domains
• Built and maintained REST API integrations between ServiceNow and external systems, including security platforms (Vectra AI NDR), identity providers (Okta), and MongoDB-backed services using Scripted REST APIs, Integration Hub, and Flow Designer
• Architected a custom Okta-integrated application for roles-based access control (RBAC) across 300+ agency domains, leveraging the Okta Integration Hub spoke within a broader scoped application for domain-level data isolation and least-privilege enforcement
• Led annual ServiceNow platform upgrades on the production instance with zero unplanned downtime, including pre-upgrade testing, plugin compatibility review, and post-upgrade validation
• Supported ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change) processes and Performance Analytics dashboards in production for MSSP client agencies
