Mahwah NJ || Sr. Platform Engineer/ DevSecOps Engineer

Required skills: 

• 5+ years of Experience with GitOps practices and procedures
• 5+ years of Experience with development and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines
• 5+ years of Hands-on experience with IaC development (Terraform, YAML) 
• 5+ years of Experience/understanding of CI/CD pipeline design patterns and tools including Azure DevOps, Git, Argo, Jfrog, SonarQube, and policy engines 
• 3+ Knowledge and ability to implement security best practices, including management of access controls, encryption, and compliance requirements 
• 3+ years of Understanding of runtime security and performance monitoring principals 
• 3+ years of Experience with cloud technologies including containerized application design/implementations (GKE, AKS) 
• 3+ years of Experience with Agile and Scrum concepts
• Ability to work independently and as a productive team member, actively participating in agile ceremonies
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team: status updates and concerns, issues and risks
• Experience with Agile and Scrum concept.

DevOps Role Responsibilities Core Competencies: 

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Expertise 
• Proficient in creating and managing infrastructure through code using Terraform.  
• Develop and maintain scripts for deploying and configuring resources consistently across various environments.  

Containerization and Orchestration:  

• Implementation and management of Kubernetes clusters for orchestrating containerized applications and Docker.  
• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for scalable application deployment and Azure Container Registry(ACR) to handle Docker images for the services.  

Azure Services Proficiency:  

• Utilize Azure services, including Azure Container Registry (ACR), PostgreSQL Database, and Application Configuration for comprehensive application solutions.  
• Experience in integrating Azure DevOps (ADO) for streamlined development processes.  

CI/CD Automation:  

• Set up and manage automated workflows for branch creation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) using Azure Pipelines.  
• Ensure secure service and application deployments through best practices in automation.  

Application Onboarding:  

• Design and automate the onboarding process for applications, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.  
• Collaborate with developers to facilitate smooth transitions of applications into production environments.  

Database Deployment Automation:  

• Architect and implement solutions for automated database deployments, ensuring data integrity and consistency.  

Monitoring and Reporting Automation:  

• Develop automated scripts and tools for real-time reporting and monitoring of applications to ensure performance and availability.  

Self-Service Capability Development:  

• Build self-service solutions that empower teams to manage their workflows while ensuring compliance with governance policies.  

Cloud Technology Expertise: 

• Lead the onboarding of applications and services in cloud environments, specializing in one of the following: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or AWS.  

Release Engineering Leadership: 

• Oversee and lead release engineering activities, ensuring that code releases are delivered smoothly and efficiently. 
• Executes on DevSecOps designs and supports overall effort of delivering project goals.
