Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ (5 Days Onsite)
We are seeking a GCP Infrastructure Resource having 8+ years of professional experience with IaC expertise designs, deploys, and manages scalable, secure Google Cloud environments using code, primarily Terraform. They automate infrastructure lifecycle, build CI/CD pipelines, and manage containerized apps using GKE. Key skills include GCP, Terraform, Python/Bash, and Kubernetes.
This role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, adherence to DevOps and Agile practices, and ownership of service quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for provisioning GCP resources.
· Architecture Design: Propose and implement cloud technical architectures, including VPCs, load balancers, DNS, and hybrid connectivity between GCP and on-premise environments.
· Pipeline Development: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab) to automate infrastructure updates, patching, and testing
· GCP Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage secure, high-performance GCP resources (VPCs, GKE, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI).
· Automation: Create CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Ansible, or similar tools to automate infrastructure deployment.
· System Optimization: Implement monitoring, perform troubleshooting, and ensure cost optimization of GCP services.
· Containerization: Manage containerized workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
· Security & Governance: Implement security best practices such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), data encryption, and network security services like Cloud Armor
· Operational Excellence: Monitor system health, perform root-cause analysis for incidents, and optimize GCP environments for both performance and cost efficiency
Mandatory Technical Skills & Competencies
· GCP Platform: Deep knowledge of Google Cloud services.
· IaC Tools: Proficiency in Terraform.
· Scripting/Programming: Expertise in Python, Bash, or Go.
· DevOps/CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
· Container Technology: Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker
