Position: SAP BASIS & HANA Administrator
Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite) – Locals ONLY
Duration: 6+ months contract
Job Description:
Demonstrated through 7+ years of experience as an SAP Basis HANA Administrator administering SAP HANA and S/4 HANA landscapes.
· Deep knowledge of SAP Basis tasks: technical planning, installations and configurations (SAP S/4 HANA, FIORI, SLT, SOLMAN, SAP Router…), upgrades, OS/DB migrations, Unicode conversions for SAP NetWeaver platform, SSO configuration, installation of SSL certificates. familiar with BRTOOLS for Space management.
· Hands on experience of implementation and conversion for S/4HANA solutions.
Experience in SAP Backup and Recovery.
· Mastery of the HANA knowledge including High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
· Experience and deep knowledge of SAP system migration (DMO tool) and upgrades.
· Strong SQL scripting knowledge, creating Stored procedures, troubleshooting performance issue optimization of the code.
· Expertise with SLT
· Expertise with SAP Data Services
· Experience in SAP Sizing by using the SAP Quick sizer.
· Experience in SAP data Archiving.
· Integration of SAP HANA into different remote systems. Exposure to different remote access options in HANA system.
· Hardware, operating systems (LINUX) and networking connectivity required for the SAP environment.
· Deep knowledge of SAP HANA in-Memory Platform core technology, including architecture, landscape design, installation, upgrade, performance tuning and system integration.
· Elaboration of SAP release plan.
· Experience in system refresh tasks, Client copies (local client copy, client export, client import).
· Early Watch configuration and analysis. Transport Management.
· Automation of SAP basis tasks through different development and scripting approaches
· Incident Management: Troubleshooting the issues from OS level like work process monitoring, checking logs, checking OSS notes, provide Performance analysis and suggest solution to write the Root Cause Analysis.
· Write Operational procedures.
· Create client standard documentation.
· Provide On-call support during weekday and weekends as per the schedule.
· Certification in SAP S/4 HANA and OS/DB Migration will be a plus
Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
