Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Control-M Administrator to manage and support the enterprise workload automation environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering the Control-M infrastructure, ensuring high availability of scheduling services, managing Control-M servers and agents, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable batch processing.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Control-M scheduling environment across Development, Test, and Production.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Control-M Enterprise Manager, Control-M Servers, and Control-M Agents.
- Monitor daily batch processing and ensure successful completion of scheduled workloads.
- Create, modify, and maintain job definitions, calendars, scheduling policies, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot job failures, scheduling issues, agent connectivity, and Control-M server problems.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Monitor Control-M infrastructure health, system performance, and capacity.
- Configure and manage Control-M security, user roles, authorizations, and access controls.
- Support high availability, disaster recovery (DR), backup, and recovery activities for the Control-M environment.
- Manage Control-M agent deployments, upgrades, and decommissioning across Windows, Linux, and UNIX servers.
- Work closely with application support, database, middleware, and infrastructure teams to resolve scheduling dependencies.
- Automate routine administration tasks using Shell, PowerShell, or Python scripting.
- Participate in on-call support and provide timely resolution of production issues.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security, audit, and change management processes.

Required Skills
- 3–8+ years of experience administering BMC Control-M.
- Strong knowledge of Control-M Enterprise Manager, Control-M Server, and Control-M Agents.
- Experience with job scheduling, workflow automation, calendars, and batch processing.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows server administration.
- Knowledge of Shell scripting, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience with Control-M upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
- Familiarity with file transfer, database jobs, application integrations, and scheduling dependencies.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of change management and incident management processes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Control-M Managed File Transfer (MFT), Control-M Automation API, or Control-M Workload Change Manager.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience integrating Control-M with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- BMC Control-M certification is a plus.
