Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer Lead to design, build, and scale modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies. This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and big data processing, combined with strong leadership capabilities to mentor teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

You will play a critical role in architecting enterprise-grade data solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Architecture

Design and implement scalable data architectures leveraging Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse and Data Factory).
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Develop and maintain data models (Star schema, Medallion architecture).
Create and manage Delta Lake-based data storage solutions.
Implement pipeline orchestration frameworks for efficient data workflows.
Development & Analytics Enablement

Develop PySpark/Spark-based data processing solutions.
Create Fabric notebooks for advanced data transformations.
Design semantic models in Power BI to support business intelligence and analytics.
Write and optimize complex SQL queriesfor high-performance data retrieval.
Performance, Governance & Quality

Drive performance tuning and cost optimization across the data platform.
Ensure robust data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks.
Implement RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and data security best practices.
Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Leadership & Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and guide a team of data engineers.
Collaborate with business stakeholdersto translate requirements into technical solutions.
Drive best practices in data engineering, coding standards, and architecture design.
Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
