SAP S/4HANA landscape, enabling compliant, timely, and disruption‐free deployment of standardized global processes in the United States.

 

2. Key Tasks

1. Local Data Strategy & Wave Preparation

Tasks

•          Translate global data standards, migration strategy, and governance policies into actionable plans for the US wave.

•          Drive early data assessment and pre‐program data cleansing activities ahead of formal wave start.

•          Define local data scope, ownership, and prioritization aligned with deployment milestones.

 

2. Data Cleansing & Quality Management

Tasks

•          Orchestrate local data cleansing activities across master and transactional data domains (e.g., Business Partners, Materials, Finance, Supply Chain).

•          Enforce data quality rules as defined by global data governance and MDG.

•          Coordinate backlog management and remediation of legacy data defects.

 

3. Data Migration Execution & Trial Load Support

Tasks

•          Coordinate local activities to support mock loads, trial migrations, and dress rehearsals.

•          Ensure timely analysis, root‐cause identification, and resolution of data defects uncovered during trial loads.

•          Act as the local escalation point for critical data migration risks.

 

4. Testing Coordination & Data Validation

Tasks

•          Coordinate and support local data‐related testing activities (SIT, UAT, data validation cycles).

•          Ensure migrated data supports end‐to‐end business scenarios across SAP S/4HANA and satellite systems (MDG, Ariba, Salesforce, IBP).

•          Validate data completeness, accuracy, and business usability together with functional stakeholders.

5. Integration & Satellite System Alignment

Tasks

•          Coordinate data readiness and alignment for inbound and outbound integrations with satellite systems (e.g., Salesforce, Ariba, IBP).

•          Ensure consistent master data usage and synchronization across systems.

•          Support cutover readiness from a data perspective.

6. Governance, Compliance & US Regulatory Considerations

Tasks

•          Ensure local data complies with relevant US regulations and corporate policies, including:

o          SOX controls over financial master and transactional data

o          Data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA/CPRA where applicable)

o          Export control, trade compliance, and ITAR/EAR data restrictions (if relevant to the industry)

•          Ensure proper data access controls, auditability, and segregation of duties.

7. Stakeholder Management & Communication

Tasks

•          Act as the primary data point of contact for the US wave.

•          Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to the local Wave Steering Committee.

•          Align local business, IT, shared services, and global program teams.

8. Leveraging Shared Services & Global Capabilities

Tasks

•          Effectively leverage global data teams, migration factories, and shared service centers.

•          Ensure clear handovers, scope definitions, and accountability models.

•          Avoid duplication of effort by reusing global tools, templates, and accelerators
