Hybrid Onsite – MuleSoft Consultant requirement

Work Model:

  • Onsite and/or remote work as required by the Department (No full-remote). Attendance at mandatory weekly progress meetings is required.

About the Role: 

The Department of Audit and Control is modernizing its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial ecosystem to optimize administrative workflows and eliminate manual data entry. As a MuleSoft Consultant, you will focus entirely on Integration Delivery & Testing, leveraging the MuleSoft ecosystem to build automated data pipelines connecting critical SaaS platforms. You will support the project team in developing, managing, and optimizing integrations between financial, HR, payments, and grants management systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of APIs and reusable components using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and RAML specifications.
  • Architect and maintain end-to-end integration flows and API lifecycles, including design, versioning, mapping, testing, and deployment.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to translate them into technical integration specifications and future-state workflows.
  • Configure API security policies, gateways, SLAs, and continuous monitoring through MuleSoft administrative tools.
  • Participate in integration testing, error handling design, root-cause defect analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Provide detailed knowledge transfer and integration best practices to internal County team members.
  • Participate in weekly status meetings and track integration defects and technical environmental risks in a weekly progress log.




Required Skills:

  • Extensive hands-on expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Runtime Manager).
  • Expert-level proficiency in DataWeave and proven experience developing and deploying REST APIs.
  • Strong mastery of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP).
  • Documented experience integrating two or more SaaS systems within an enterprise environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth2, TLS, and modern API security standards.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, performance tuning, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience integrating with CGI Advantage 4.0, Workday, PaymentWorks, Tyler Munis, or Euna Grants.
  • Experience designing integrations or middleware solutions for government or public sector environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • MuleSoft Professional Certifications (MCD Level 1 or 2, or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect).
