GCP Devops Engineer (Local to Seattle, WA)

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines.
Build and manage infrastructure-as-code for cloud deployments.
Create deployment automation for provisioning cloud data services and infrastructure.
Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
Advise value streams on cost management during design and operations.
Author conceptual and detailed technical design documents and standards.
Improve automation across applications, systems, and platforms; identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
Troubleshoot and test issues, perform root cause analysis, identify gaps, recommend solutions and preventive measures, and guide implementation.
Stay current on DevOps best practices, trends, and cost-optimization strategies.
Maintain expertise in cloud resource implementation best practices and support development of cloud platform standards aligned to cost, capability, and capacity requirements.
 

Required Technical Skills

Automation and orchestration tools (for example: Git, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jira).
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Secret Manager, Spanner, AlloyDB, Dataplex).
Deploying infrastructure using Terraform.
Demonstrated use of AI/large language models to increase delivery efficiency.
Strong understanding of application architecture, networking, and infrastructure.
Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Professional experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP, IaC); Google Cloud certifications preferred.
