SAP QA Lead – 18+ month C2C Contract

Client: Healthcare (GC/USC)

Role: SAP QA Lead

Location: Dublin, OH (Hybrid)

Long term contract


 

Description

Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication
· Act as a bridge between business and IT (security, vendor teams), ensuring clear, consistent communication.
· Translate technical requirements, constraints, and timelines into actionable business insights.
· Drive alignment, accountability, and timely follow-through across distributed teams.
· Escalate risks, blockers, and trends to leadership with clear mitigation actions.

a) Defect Management & Governance
· Own end-to-end defect lifecycle management from identification through closure.
· Run daily defect triage and status calls across multiple teams.
· Ensure defects are logged with accurate:
· Severity & priority
· Root cause classification
· Ownership & environment details
· Enforce defect management processes, SLAs, and entry/exit criteria.
· Monitor defect aging and ensure timely resolution and retesting.
· Validate phase exit readiness based on defect metrics and quality thresholds.
· Drive follow-ups for data issues, incorrect details, missing status, ownership gaps, or stalled progress
· Drive prioritization of defects during high-volume cycles (SIT, UAT).
· Align teams on defect prioritization during high-volume cycles · Facilitate clear, structured defect discussions across IT, business · Escalate risks, blockers, and trend concerns to test and release leadership · Support integrations or transitions between defect tracking tools (JIRA during Test cycles, ServiceNow for production/hypercare defects)
· Coach teams on proper defect hygiene and tool usage
· Perform routine audits to catch inconsistencies or incorrect updates
· Ensure defect tool data integrity (status, resolution codes, test phase, environment, etc.)

b) Access Governance & Management
· Coordinate and track user access(Business/IT), roles, and permissions across systems and environments.
· Partner with security and identity management teams to ensure compliance and governance standards are met.
· Maintain comprehensive records of:
· User access requests
· Role assignments
· Requested vs Provisioned dates
· Approval workflows
· Ensure timely provisioning and de-provisioning of access.
· Identify and resolve access gaps impacting testing or production readiness.

Tracking, Reporting & Analytics (Defects, Access)
· Develop and maintain centralized trackers for:
· User access and role readiness
· Defect lifecycle and status
· Produce daily and weekly reporting, including:
· Defect trends (open/closed)
· Severity distribution
· Aging analysis
· Defect leakage
· Build dashboards and reports tailored for:
· Executive leadership
· Test managers
· Delivery teams
· Analyze trends to identify systemic issues (data, environment, requirements, build quality).
· Provide phase-specific dashboards to support go/no-go decisions
· Tailor reporting for different audiences (executive, test leads, delivery teams)
Education:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
