Sr AI Cybersecurity Architect – St. Louis, MO OR Hybrid

Location: St. Louis, MO OR Hybrid (NY, Charlotte, Orlando, Chicago)
Work Model: Hybrid

 lead and mature enterprise AI security strategy initiatives for a major financial services environment. This role focuses on enabling secure and responsible AI adoption across GenAI, ML platforms, SaaS AI solutions, and emerging autonomous/agentic AI systems while aligning with enterprise cybersecurity, compliance, and cloud transformation goals.

 

Required Experience

·        15+ years in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or enterprise security leadership

·        4+ years securing AI/ML platforms, GenAI systems, or AI governance programs

·        Strong expertise in:

o   LLM architectures and embeddings

o   Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

o   AI/ML lifecycle security

o   AI model supply chain security

o   Zero Trust architecture

o Cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP

·        Experience influencing enterprise architecture and leading cross-functional security initiatives

·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities

·        Define and evolve enterprise AI security architecture and strategic roadmap

·        Establish secure-by-design standards and governance for AI/ML systems

·        Build and maintain AI security frameworks, policies, and architectural artifacts

·        Drive adoption of security frameworks including NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, CIS, and ISO 27001

·        Provide architectural oversight and governance across AI initiatives and product teams

·        Evaluate AI technologies including LLMs, vector databases, AI agents, and third-party AI platforms

·        Recommend AI security tooling aligned with enterprise security strategy

·        Monitor emerging AI threats, regulatory requirements, and industry trends

·        Partner with business, security, and engineering teams to balance innovation with risk management 

Preferred Qualifications

·        CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or SANS certifications

·        Financial services or regulated industry experience

·        Knowledge of responsible AI, explainability, and bias mitigation

·        Experience with cryptographic agility or post-quantum security readiness

·        Familiarity with NYDFS and FINRA regulatory environments

· Incident response and enterprise risk management background
