Job Title: Application Level SRE

Location- Columbus, Ohio (4 days onsite)- Local candidates only since the client will do F2F
Job Description:
The client is looking for an Application Level SRE candidate (not an Infrastructure SRE or a DevOps SRE) who combines strong communication skills with a solid, working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk. The ideal candidate should be comfortable navigating these tools to identify issues and gather insights, even if they are not deeply specialized.
They should have a good understanding of production incident management, including troubleshooting live issues, joining real-time debugging calls, and quickly assessing impact. The ability to escalate effectively, raising alerts to the appropriate teams, and ensuring timely resolution is essential. A basic understanding of web-based applications is also required to help diagnose and contextualize issues.
This role requires someone who is proactive, composed under pressure, and able to collaborate efficiently across teams during critical incidents. Additionally, candidates must be local to Columbus, as the role requires working from the office four days a week.
